CONTENT GUIDELINES

Verda is a community-driven platform where users share short-form video content (Blurbs)and text posts (Soapbox). To maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all users, we have established these content guidelines.
These guidelines apply to all content posted on Verda, including videos, images, text, comments, and user profiles.
Our Commitment
We are committed to:
- Safety: Protecting users from harmful, dangerous, or illegal content
- Respect: Fostering a community free from harassment, hate, and bullying
- Transparency: Clearly communicating what is and isn't allowed
- Fairness: Applying guidelines consistently and providing appeal processes
Prohibited Content
1. Sexual Content
Not Allowed:
- Nudity or explicit sexual content
- Sexually suggestive content or sexually explicit conversations
- Content depicting sexual acts, sexual services, or sexual solicitation
- Sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance — immediate permanent ban)
2. Violence & Graphic Content
Not Allowed:
- Graphic violence, gore, or blood
- Content depicting physical assault, fighting, or violent acts
- Torture, mutilation, or visually disturbing content
- Animal abuse or cruelty
- Glorification of violence or violent events
3. Hate Speech & Symbols
Not Allowed:
- Hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Hate symbols, gestures, or imagery
- Content that promotes or glorifies hate groups or extremist ideologies
- Dehumanizing language or slurs
4. Dangerous Activities
Not Allowed:
- Content promoting or depicting dangerous stunts, challenges, or activities
- Drug use, drug manufacturing, or drug promotion
- Content depicting weapons in a threatening or dangerous manner
- Instructions for making weapons, explosives, or other dangerous items
- Content promoting self-harm or suicide
5. Harassment & Bullying
Not Allowed:
- Targeted harassment, bullying, or intimidation of individuals
- Threats of violence or harm
- Doxxing (sharing private personal information)
- Cyberstalking or unwanted repeated contact
- Content intended to humiliate, shame, or degrade others
6. Spam & Deceptive Content
Not Allowed:
- Spam, scams, or fraudulent content
- Misleading or false information (especially regarding health, safety, or elections)
- Impersonation of others or creation of fake accounts
- Manipulated media intended to deceive (deepfakes, misleading edits)
7. Minor Safety
Zero Tolerance Policy
Not Allowed:
- Any content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors
- Content showing minors in dangerous situations
- Inappropriate interactions with minors
- Content that could facilitate child exploitation
Violations of minor safety result in immediate permanent ban and law enforcement notification. No warnings or second chances.
8. Visually Disturbing Content
Not Allowed:
- Extremely graphic, shocking, or disturbing imagery
- Content depicting death, serious injury, or medical procedures
- Disturbing horror content without appropriate warnings
Strike System & Penalties
Verda uses a progressive strike system to enforce content guidelines. Strikes are awarded when content is removed for policy violations.

What happens when you get a strike:
- The violating content is immediately removed
- You receive a notification explaining the violation and which guideline was violated
- The strike is recorded on your account
- If you reach a ban threshold, your account is temporarily or permanently suspended
Appeals Process
If you believe your content was removed in error or you were unfairly penalized, you can appeal the decision.
Who Can Appeal
- Users whose content was removed
- Users who received strikes
- Users who received temporary bans (permanent bans cannot be appealed except in extraordinary circumstances)
Appeal Timeframe
- Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the moderation action
- Appeals are reviewed within 3–5 business days
Appeal Outcomes
- Appeal Approved: Strike removed, content restored (if applicable)
- Appeal Denied: Original decision stands
- Partial Approval: Strike may be reduced but not fully removed
Content That IS Allowed
Verda encourages creativity and self-expression. The following content is welcome:
- Creative Expression: Art, music, dance, comedy, and other creative content
- Educational Content: Tutorials, how-to guides, informative content
- Gaming Content: Gameplay clips, gaming commentary, esports content
- Discussion & Debate: Respectful discussions on social, political, or controversial topics
- Personal Stories: Sharing your experiences, opinions, and perspectives
- Mild Profanity: Common swear words are allowed (but not slurs or hate speech)
- Mature Themes: Discussion of mature topics is allowed if not explicit or harmful
User Responsibilities
As a Verda user, you are responsible for:
- Reading and Understanding: Familiarize yourself with these guidelines
- Following Guidelines: Ensure all content you post complies with our policies
- Reporting Violations: Report content that violates these guidelines
- Respecting Others: Treat all community members with respect
- Accepting Consequences: Understand that violations result in penalties
Reporting Content
If you see content that violates our guidelines:
- Click the flag icon on any blurb, soapbox post, or comment
- Select the violation category
- Optionally provide additional context
- Submit your report
Your reports are anonymous. Your identity is not shared with the content creator.
Enforcement Discretion
Verda Platforms has the sole and final authority in interpreting and applying these content guidelines. All moderation decisions, including content removal, strikes, and account actions, are made at the sole discretion of Verda Platforms.
Enforcement may vary depending on context, nuance, and the specific circumstances of each situation. Factors we may consider include, but are not limited to:
- Newsworthiness: Content related to current events or matters of public interest
- Educational Value: Content created for informational or educational purposes
- Artistic Expression: Content with clear artistic, creative, or satirical intent
- Context & Intent: The overall context in which the content was shared and the apparent intent of the creator
Verda Platforms reserves the right to take action on any content or account that we determine, in our sole judgment, to be harmful, disruptive, or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of these guidelines, even if the content does not clearly fall within a specific prohibited category listed above.
Changes to These Guidelines
Verda reserves the right to update these guidelines at any time. When significant changes are made, users will be notified in-app and updated guidelines will be posted with a new version number and date.
By continuing to use Verda after guidelines are updated, you agree to follow the new guidelines.
